The Kiwanis Club of Norfolk is a great place to improve your involvement in our community while having fun and meeting new people. To become a member of the Kiwanis Club of Norfolk, please follow our guidelines below:
Step 1: Attend club meetings (in-person or virtual)
Before you decide if our club is for you, it is best for you to attend a few events which can include service projects, meetings, or socials. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about the club and meet our members. Check out our club’s calendar and e-mail our Membership Director at [email protected] to give us a heads-up if you plan to attend an event.
Step 2: Fill out our membership application form and pay club dues
After you have attended a few events, you are eligible to apply for membership to the club and pay dues for the current year. Our year runs October 1 – September 30 and our dues schedule is explained under frequently asked questions (see below). Complete your application online today!
Step 3: Be assigned a member sponsor and get inducted
Each new member will be assigned a member sponsor. Your sponsor is usually someone you have met at a club event you have attended and who will help educate you on all the various programs, conferences, organization’s background, and benefits of Kiwanis to ensure you get the most out of your membership. New member inductions are very casual and are held as needed based on new memberships.
